How to apply for pre-application assistance

We will only accept requests for pre-application assistance electronically through APVMA online services. This is an system where applicants, holders and nominated agents can submit and check the status of their applications and transact with the APVMA in a secure environment. An account is not required to lodge an application for pre-application assistance. Pre-application assistance is provided by the APVMA to give assistance in preparing or making an application to the APVMA. A separate application is required per product or active constituent.

(Note: The Australian Government’s proposed amendments to the Agvet Code Regulations require all application forms, information and data are required to be lodged with the APVMA in electronic form, progressively from 1 July 2014. However, the APVMA will have discretion to grant an exemption for electronic lodgement to those genuinely needing to lodge via alternative means due to considerations about access and equity and the need to prevent discrimination.)
