Chemical reviews commenced before 1 July 2014 and not concluded by 30 June 2015 are now considered under the current legislation.
The timeframe for transitioning chemical reviews to be completed will be calculated using the new legislative formula but only for assessments which are not completed by 30 June 2015.
For example, if the chemical review required a toxicology assessment and a residues assessment and the toxicology assessment was completed by 30 June 2015, toxicology will not form part of the new reconsideration period. New workplans for existing reviews will be published from 1 July 2015.
The protected information arrangements are based on the date the information is provided to the APVMA, not when the chemical review began.
The protected information provisions in the previous legislation will apply to information provided to the APVMA before 1 July 2014. The new provisions will apply to information provided to the APVMA after 1 July 2014.
