Office of the Chief Scientist
Following an agency-wide restructure in 2014, the APVMA created the new role of Chief Scientist.
The role of the Chief Scientist is to ensure our science frameworks and practices continue to meet appropriate standards.
Through engagement with national and international networks, the Chief Scientist is responsible for identifying issues and trends that impact on the integrity of the scientific advice provided to the APVMA.
The Office is tasked with developing projects and initiatives to enhance scientific capability at the APVMA.
Dr Phil Reeves was appointed to the position of Chief Scientist in December 2014.
