APVMA legal expenditure
External legal expenditure
Paragraph 11.2 of the Legal Services Directions 2005 (external site) requires that within 60 days after the end of the financial year, agencies regulated by the Financial Management and Accountability Act 1997 report to the Office of Legal Services Coordination on their legal services expenditure.
Paragraph 11.1(ba) of the Legal Services Directions 2005 requires that by 30 October of each year, agencies make records of their legal services expenditure for the previous year publicly available.
The APVMA’s total external legal expenditure (GST exclusive) for 2014–15 was as follows:

Note: Registration costs associated with the Federal Register of Legislative Instruments and costs of preparing legislative instrument compilations have not been included.
Internal legal expenditure
The APVMA’s total internal legal expenditure (GST exclusive) for 2014–15 was $1 312 480.00. This represents the cost of maintaining an in-house legal program with administrative staff.
