Annual procurement plan

Strategic procurement outlook

The APVMA, within the Agriculture portfolio, is the agency responsible for the assessment and registration of agricultural and veterinary chemical products prior to sale and their regulation up to and including the point of retail sale.

The mission of the APVMA is to protect the health and safety of people and animals, the environment and trade, and to support Australian agriculture, through science-based, effective and efficient regulation of pesticides and veterinary medicines.

The procurements covered by Division 2 of the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (that is, values above $400 000) that the APVMA expects to be solicited in this financial year based on the best information available at the time of publication, are described in the APVMA annual procurement plan.
