Consultation period

21 February 2013 to 22 March 2013

The APVMA is considering an application to register the new product Piranha® Dip for Sheep containing the approved active constituent thiacloprid (APVMA Product number 63766).  The new product is a plunge dip that is intended for the control of the sheep body louse (Bovicola ovis) on short wool sheep.

We invite written comment from 21 February 2013 to 22 March 2013 on the trade implications of this new registration proposal.

The APVMA is able to consider comments relating to the legislative grounds for the assessment, which are the trade implications of the use of the product. The Trade Advice Notice provides a summary of the APVMA's residue and trade assessment.
