Pyriproxyfen in the product Admiral Insect Growth Regulator

The Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) has before it an application from Sumitomo Chemical Australia Pty Ltd to vary the use of ADMIRAL INSECT GROWTH REGULATOR, containing the active ingredient pyriproxyfen at 100 g/L, in mangoes to reduce the withholding period from 8 weeks to 4 weeks. The product is an insecticide used for control of various scale insects and whitefly in cotton, rockmelon, tomato, capsicum, citrus fruit, mangoes and olives.
