Chemical reconsiderations: new legislative requirements

From 1 July 2015, new legislative requirements became applicable to all chemical reconsiderations.

These requirements include the preparation of a work plan for each reconsideration, including all current reviews, and that each reconsideration must be completed within the timeframe prescribed by the regulations.

Work plans for current reconsiderations are now available on our website.

In order to apply the new legislative requirements uniformly to all approvals and registrations when the corresponding chemical is under review, the APVMA has sent Reconsideration Notices to the holders of approvals and registrations that had been granted after the respective chemical review had commenced.
