APVMA training: get ready for 1 July 2014

To help people get ready for changes to the Agvet legislation that commence 1 July 2014 we have developed a range of training options.

This free training will cover a variety of topics and has been designed around the feedback you provided.

Face-to-face workshops: this two-day event is planned for Canberra on 2–3 June 2014 and is subject to sufficient interest from industry. Registrations are now open.

eLearning training modules will also be available on our website in June 2014. These will be self-paced and topics will include the pre-application process, making applications, preliminary assessment and permits.

We will continue to update our website with information about how to get ready for the changes.

Open tender for external scientific reviewers

We are currently running an open tender procurement process for external scientific reviewers in the scientific disciplines of antimicrobial resistance, chemistry, efficacy and safety, environment, immunobiological, residues, toxicology and OHS.

The request for tender and associated documentation is available through the Austender website which is www.tenders.gov.au. There are also two addendum documents, 'Questions and Answers relating to APVMA Request for Tender (APVMAT1401)' and 'Tips for submitting a Tender relating to APVMA Request for Tender (APVMAT1401)' located on Austender. You will find the RfT under the 'Medical science research and experimentation' category. To download the tender documentation you will need to register on Austender.

Questions about the RfT or the procurement process can be directed to the contact officer at ESRTender2014@apvma.gov.au.
