Consultation period

2 December 2015 to 10 February 2016

Background

The APVMA, in accordance with our Operational Plan, has prepared a draft Compliance and Enforcement Strategy. The draft strategy sets out the APVMA’s approach to compliance and enforcement for the period 2015 through to the end of 2017.

The key themes of our Compliance and Enforcement Strategy are:

  • ensuring information and educational material is made available to industry members and the community to assist with informed decisions being made regarding compliance obligations
  • guiding the APVMA’s engagement with industry members and the community to facilitate compliance with the agvet laws
  • taking enforcement action where regulated entities operate in contravention of agvet laws.

To support your consideration of the draft strategy we have also prepared a discussion paper to assist with the preparation of written submissions.
