Regulatory Update #257
Tailored guidance for applicants now available
We’re making registration easier with tailored guidance material that gives you the information you need to lodge the right application, with the right data and supporting evidence to meet APVMA criteria before entering our online services portal.
The first modules of tailored guidance material are available now. We’ll be gradually releasing more guidance material for other common types of new product and product variation applications.
By improving applicant guidance material we aim to make the registration process smoother and more efficient.

We have released the Corporate and Operational plan for 2017–18.
The Corporate plan sets out our strategic objectives, which are mapped over the next four years so that we can deliver on our regulatory purpose. The Operational plan sets out the actions that will take place in order to meet those objectives.

Last chance to register—Canberra industry sessions
Registrations close on 6 September for the Canberra industry information and education session. Register now to secure your attendance.
The industry sessions run over two days from 13–14 September and will provide both clients and stakeholders the opportunity to connect with APVMA regulatory science services and hear about how new scientific developments and business reforms will impact our work.
Updated guidance for submission of international data, standards and assessments
The guidance material for applicants on the use of international data, standards and assessments has been updated.
This latest update provides guidance on the process for considering timeframe reductions when international assessments and underlying data have been submitted in support of applications.
Additional guidance material is currently being developed in consultation with industry to give examples of the further potential for timeframe reductions.
For more information please visit the guidance for applicants page or contact your case manager.
