Quarterly statistics show improved performance

Our quarterly performance statistics for July-September 2017 were released Thursday 19 October. 

The statistics show some improvement, with 1058 applications finalised in the September quarter. This is almost double the usual number of applications finalised in previous quarters for actives, products and permits.

Our Annual report for the 2016-17 year was tabled on Friday 27 October 2017, and is now available online.

The report outlines the four corporate strategies from our work that ensure the safety of agvet chemicals supplied in Australia.

Industry information and education sessions—videos now online

Videos and transcripts from the industry information and education sessions are now available for streaming on the website.

The industry sessions ran over two days from 13–14 September 2017, providing clients and stakeholders the opportunity to connect with APVMA regulatory science services and hear about how new scientific developments and business reforms impact our work.

CEO provides relocation activity updates

Interim CEO, Dr Chris Parker, provided an update on relocation activities in his opening address at the APVMA Senate Estimates hearing on 24 October 2017.

The planning phase of our move to Armidale has been finalised ahead of permanent relocation by mid-2019. Two important policies that will support staff to relocate have also been finalised, providing the opportunity to move to Armidale early should staff choose.

Updates to PubCris—mobile browser now fully supported

The PubCris database has been updated to optimise mobile-friendly searches for all devices and screen sizes. 

This update means that you can now access PubCris through the web browser on your mobile device, without having to use the Apple mobile application. The PubCRIS Apple mobile application will no longer be supported or available for download.
