The Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) commenced assessment of 678 new applications and finalised 682 applications for product registration, active approval, and permits.
Overall timeframe performance remained steady in the June quarter 2021, with 93% of applications completed on time.
On-time assessment of major product applications in the June quarter 2021 is at 99%, up from 96% in the March quarter 2021, with pesticide major applications increasing to 99% and veterinary medicines increasing to 100%.
Work in progress for products, actives, and permits decreased to 1,008 in June quarter 2021, down from 1,013 in the March quarter 2021.
