The APVMA is considering an application for registration of the product Booster-Mag 609 SC Insecticide, containing 609 g/L of the approved active constituent magnesium hydroxide, as a suspension concentrate (SC) formulation. The product is intended for the suppression of two-spotted mites on tomatoes and cucurbits.
We invite comment from 25 January 2022 to 22 February 2022 on whether registration of the product should be granted.
The APVMA is able to consider comments relating to the legislative grounds, including:
- occupational health and safety
- public health
- chemistry and manufacture
- residues in food
- environmental safety
- trade
- efficacy and target crop safety

The APVMA sought comments from interested stakeholders on magnesium hydroxide in the product Booster-Mag 609 SC Insecticide, in a consultation that closed on 22 February 2022.
No submissions were received. We have finalised registration of the product.
