The APVMA is considering an application for registration of the product Soleto 500 SC Herbicide, a suspension concentrate (SC) formulation containing 500 g/L of the new active constituent, metobromuron. The product is intended for use as a pre-emergence herbicide for the control of annual broad-leaved weeds and grasses in potatoes.  

We invite comment from 8 March 2022 to 5 April 2022 on whether approval of the active constituent and registration of the product should be granted.

The APVMA is able to consider comments relating to the legislative grounds, including:

  • occupational health and safety
  • public health
  • chemistry and manufacture
  • residues in food
  • environmental safety
  • trade
  • efficacy and target crop safety.
