The Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) is considering an application for approval of the new active constituent aclonifen and registration of the product Mateno Complete Herbicide.

We invite comment from 30 November 2021 to 28 December 2021 on whether approval of the active constituent and registration of the product should be granted.

The APVMA is able to consider comments relating to the legislative basis, including:

  • chemistry and manufacture
  • public health
  • occupational health and safety
  • residues in food
  • trade
  • environmental safety
  • efficacy and target crop safety.

Submissions received

The APVMA sought comments from interested stakeholders on the evaluation of the active constituent aclonifen in the product Mateno Complete Herbicide, in a consultation that closed on 28 December 2021.
