Coronavirus (COVID-19)—advice to registrants and manufacturers
Following the World Health Organization’s 11 March 2020 declaration of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) advises registrants and manufacturers to note the following advice relating to audit schedules for veterinary manufacturers.
The COVID-19 outbreak may impact the regular business activities of veterinary chemical manufacturers.
This may include the ability for registrants and licensed manufacturers to have scheduled GMP audit inspections undertaken.
In response to this, and for audits scheduled to occur in the coming months, licensed manufacturers may apply to the APVMA for an extension to the audit schedule.
Businesses affected should direct their enquiries to MQL@apvma.gov.au for information on the process for seeking an extension.
