This consultation closed on 26 August 2014

Consultation period

29 July 2014 to 26 August 2014

The APVMA is considering an application for the registration of Nobilis Paramyxo P201 Vaccine and to approve the new active constituent, Pigeon Paramyxovirus-1 Strain P201 (PPMV-1). The product is to be registered for the active immunisation of pigeons 5 weeks old and above to reduce clinical signs caused by virulent PPMV-1 infection. The vaccine has also been shown to significantly reduce virus excretion after challenge.

We invite comment from 29 July 2014 to 26 August 2014 on whether the application for approval of the active constituent and registration of the product should be granted.

The APVMA is able to consider comments relating to the legislative grounds for registration, including:

  • occupational health and safety
  • safety and first aid
  • chemistry and manufacture
  • residues
  • environmental fate and toxicity
  • trade
  • efficacy.
