Molinate proposed regulatory decision

The Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) invites written submissions on the proposed regulatory decision and the draft statement of reasons in relation to the reconsideration of molinate, which were published in a Special Gazette on 11 October 2021. All submissions will be considered by the APVMA prior to finalisation of the reconsideration and publication of the final regulatory decision.

When making your submission:

• clearly identify the issue and clearly state your point of view
• give reasons for your comments, supporting them, if possible, with relevant scientific information and indicating the source of the information you have used.

Please structure your comments in a numbered form, referring each point to the relevant section in the Draft Statement of Reasons or Molinate Review Technical Report.

Electronic submissions to the APVMA are preferred.

• the date you made the submission.

Please note: Submissions will be published on the APVMA website unless you have asked for the submission to remain confidential (see public submission coversheet).

Please lodge your submission with a public submission coversheet, which provides options for how your submission will be published.

Note that all APVMA documents are subject to the access provisions of the Freedom of Information Act 1982 and may be required to be released under that Act should a request for access be made.

In providing your submission to the APVMA, you agree to the APVMA publicly disclosing your submission in whole or summary form. The APVMA confirms that if your submission includes confidential commercial information or protected information as defined in the Agvet Code, such information shall be subject to the relevant provisions of the Agvet Code including relevant limitations on use and disclosure by the APVMA.

Submissions received

The APVMA sought comments from interested stakeholders on the proposed regulatory decision and the draft statement of reasons in relation to the reconsideration of molinate, in a consultation that closed on 11 January 2022.

Five submissions were received from industry groups.
