The APVMA is considering applications for the approval of the new active constituent, afoxolaner, and the registration of four new products,Nexgard Chewables for Dogs 2 – 4 kg, Nexgard Chewables for Dogs 4.1 – 10 kg, Nexgard Chewables for Dogs 10.1 – 25 kg and Nexgard Chewables for Dogs 25.1 – 50 kg, containing the new active constituent. The products are to be used for the treatment and prevention of flea infestations and control of ticks on dogs and puppies.

We invite comment from 7 October 2014 to 4 November 2014 on whether the applications for the approval of the active constituent and registration of the products should be granted.
