Consultation period

24 March 2015 to 28 April 2015

The APVMA is proposing to add Clove oil to the list of Active Constituents Not Requiring Evaluation. Clove oil has been evaluated and has met the criteria under Section 14A of the Agvet Code.

Clove oil is extracted from the leaves, stems and buds of the clove plant, Syzygium aromaticum. The essential oil includes a complex mixture of numerous compounds; many of which are present in trace amounts.

We invite comment from 24 March 2015 to 28 April 2015 on whether to include clove oil on the list of active constituents not requiring evaluation.
