Proposed approval of the new active constituent, dinotefuran and registration of Starkle 200 SG Insecticide

The APVMA is considering an application for approval of a new active constituent dinotefuran and registration of a new product Starkle 200 SG Insecticide containing the active constituent dinotefuran. The product is for use to control silverleaf whitefly and green mirid in cotton.

We invite comment from 25 August 2015 to 22 September 2015 on whether the application for approval of the active constituent and registration of the product should be granted.

The APVMA is able to consider comments relating to the legislative grounds for registration, including:

• occupational health and safety
• public health
• chemistry and manufacture
• residues in food
• environmental safety
• trade
• efficacy and target crop safety
