Background
The purpose of data guidelines is to increase the transparency and predictability of APVMA decision making under the Agvet Code. APVMA data guidelines provide guidance on what information should be provided with an application, increase understanding and predictability of our decisions and demonstrate how we ensure that the agvet chemicals for supply in Australia can be used safely and are effective.
Draft data guideline
We have developed the data requirements for what information should be provided with an application to satisfy the efficacy and safety criteria for teat disinfectants. These criteria are listed in our draft data guideline Guidelines to Support Efficacy and Safety of Teat Disinfectants[add link/s].
These guidelines have been developed in conjunction with Dairy Australia.
Call for public comment
The APVMA is seeking feedback in relation to the draft data guideline to ensure it provides clear information and guidance to assist applicants.
The consultation period is open until close of business on Monday 28 September 2015. Following consideration of comments received during the consultation period the data guideline will be finalised and made available on the APVMA website by 1 December 2015.
All submissions will be published unless you state in your submission that you do not want the submission to be published.
