13 December 2016 to 10 January 2017The APVMA is considering an application for the approval of a new active constituent metazachlor and registration of the product Butisan Herbicide, containing the new active constituent metazachlor at 500 g/L, as a suspension concentrate. The product is to be registered for pre-emergent control of annual ryegrass, wild oats and wireweed in canola.
We invite comment from 13 December 2016 to 10 January 2017 on whether approval of the active and registration of the product should be granted.
The APVMA is able to consider comments relating to the legislative grounds, including:
- occupational health and safety
- public health
- chemistry and manufacture
- residues in food
- environmental safety
- trade
- efficacy and target crop safety
