Ministerial Statement of Expectations
Senator the Hon Murray Watt, Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry, has issued a new Ministerial Statement of Expectations for the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA). The Ministerial Statement of Expectations sets out the Minister's expectations, on behalf of the Australian Government, for the delivery of the regulatory functions of the APVMA.
In response, the APVMA Board has approved a Regulator Statement of Intent, which outlines how the APVMA will meet the Minister’s expectations. The future strategies and corporate plans of the APVMA will be aligned to the expectations and intent expressed by the Minister and the Board.
