APVMA to implement revised cost recovery arrangements
The Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) will implement revised cost recovery arrangements on 1 February 2023, as described in our Cost Recovery Implementation Statement (CRIS).
The new CRIS will replace the current arrangements.
Our revised cost recovery arrangements take into account stakeholder feedback received from the APVMA Cost Recovery Work Group and during the CRIS public consultation.
The main change is the introduction of new, lower cost and shorter timeframe modules for some assessment areas, to capture assessment types where a reduced timeframe and fee is considered appropriate.
We have also simplified the Toxicology and Work Health and Safety modules by combining these into a single Health module (Health 1 to 6).
There are no changes to fixed fee applications or to levies or other charges.
