The APVMA is considering an application for the registration of Relsure PCV and to approve the new active constituent, Inactivated Porcine Circovirus Type 1-Type 2 Chimera. The product is to be registered as an aid in the prevention of Porcine Circovirus Type 2 (PCV2) viraemia, as an aid in the prevention of nasal and faecal shedding, as an aid in the reduction of colonisation, and as an aid in the reduction of lymphoid depletion caused by PCV2 and in the control of PCV-associated disease.

We invite comment from 27 August 2013 to 24 September 2013 on whether the application for registration should be granted.

The APVMA is able to consider comments relating to the legislative grounds for registration, including:

  • occupational health and safety
  • safety and first aid
  • chemistry and manufacture
  • residues
  • environmental fate and toxicity
  • trade
  • efficacy.
