The Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) has adopted relevant international technical guidance materials within its data guidelines that should be used to generate data to satisfy the APVMA of legislative criteria for registering chemical products and approving active constituents and permits. The following is a list of this international technical guidance material provided in a quick reference format.

This list does not at this stage include the technical guidance material of domestic (e.g. Standards Australia, TGA), national-only (e.g. US FDA or US EPA) or regional-only (e.g. EU EMA) authorities that certain APVMA data guidelines might indicate as being suitable.

Finally, this list is not intended to imply that other relevant international technical guidance material that is not specifically mentioned in APVMA data guidelines would be unsuitable for the purposes of approval and registration. These might be appropriate for the generation of technical data to support approval or registration and would be considered on a case by case basis during the application assessment. Alternatively, advice as to the suitability of a non-listed international data guideline may be obtained through the pre-application assistance or technical assessment processes.
