Paraquat and diquat proposed regulatory decisions

The Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) invited written submissions on the proposed regulatory decisions for the reconsiderations of paraquat and diquat, which were published in the APVMA Special Gazette, 30 July 2024.

All submissions related to the scientific information used and methods of the assessments conducted by the APVMA will be considered prior to finalisation of the reconsideration and publication of the final regulatory decision.

Proposed update of the Good Manufacturing Practice Audit Procedure

The Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) is proposing to update the Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) Audit Procedure.

Background

In Australia, manufacturers of veterinary chemical products must be appropriately licensed by the APVMA. This requirement applies to anyone in Australia involved in any step of manufacture of a veterinary chemical product, unless specifically exempt.
